Program Officer

Program Officer will manage and support the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Clinical research, and related studies and programs, in collaboration with all partners. Under the Program Manager, the Program Officer will work to support and ensure timely and successful progress of the study and program activities, from start-up through close-out. The Program Officer will support trial activities to strengthen the capacities of studies to provide and deliver high quality service and research, will provide technical leadership on various aspects and situation, and contribute to the efforts to strengthen study site.

1. Serve as focal point and lead in implementation of assigned studies.
2. Contribute to the implementation of other studies within clinical research area.
3. Leads in the implementation of the program at the study site.
4. Coordinates training activities for all partners to ensure high quality implementation of the study.
5. Develops materials and reports as needed.
6. Contribute in development of effective and robust system to ensure smooth study implementation and high-quality of data.
7. Develop and track study and program related budget.
8. Organize, coordinate and provide training of Site staff, CRO, sponsor and other relevant parties.
9. Participate at relevant forums as assigned study.
10. Supervise and provide program management support to program assistant.
11. Participate in documentation, dissemination of evidence and experience in implementing studies, best practices and lesson learned.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. At least Bachelor’s degree in health management, public health, nursing and/or related field.
2. Experience in programmatic work, monitoring and evaluation and reporting in diverse settings preferred
3. At least 5 years’ experience in relevant Clinical trial study.
4. Good experience in clinical research management.
5. Experience working with government and local health facilities, CRO, government agency, or private organization
6. Broad technical competencies in the areas of HIV prevention, care and treatment and good understanding of HIV situation among key populations
7. Human subject protection/ Good Clinical Practice.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgment and decisions, and offer innovative solutions
9. Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
10. Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills
11. Supervisory Skills (Job Delegation, follow up, giving feedback)
12. Coaching and Mentoring Skills
