Insights from a decade of experience with oral PrEP programs offer key lessons for developing and delivering HIV prevention products so that they reach those who could most benefit. The\u00a0Prevention Market Manager<\/a>\u00a0project has developed a suite of resources to frame these insights and explore their implications.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s vital that the field learns from the strengths and shortcomings of efforts to date. Oral PrEP has been saving lives. But the policies and programs that bring this groundbreaking HIV prevention product to people who face risk from HIV can and must do better\u2014only a fraction of the people who need PrEP are using it.<\/p>\n

These issue briefs explore key lessons covering monitoring and evaluation, generating demand, improving delivery, and reframing risk. They provide practical guidance for researchers, implementers, healthcare providers, policy-makers and advocates to improve existing efforts and, as the HIV prevention pipeline is poised to expand with long-acting products, to apply to the next generation of prevention products and programs.<\/p>\n
