Community Research Liaison (Research Assistant) Urgent

The main purpose of this position is to work as a community research liaison with transgender community and research team on HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and gender-affirming hormones pharmacokinetic research studies for transgender populations being conducted at Tangerine Clinic at the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI). The Community Research Liaison will be responsible for communicating with community to recruiting and enrolling study participants, obtaining informed consent, participant retention, manage follow-up appointments and drug monitoring intake related to study protocols, assisting research nurse and program officer to completing study procedures, collecting study samples, data and entering data to the system.

 To supports and develop strategies that encourage community participation in research activities
 To screen, enroll and follow-up participants to the related studies
 To provide information in the Participant Information Sheet, Inform Consent
 Collect samples proficiently and follow related study procedures in compliance with the protocol
 To ensure that all participants attending the visits
 To enter clients’ information in the CRF
 To coordinate with participants to ensure accurately data
 To assist in organizing meetings to involved transgender community and research
 To convene seminars developed for community members describing the elements of research, its language and ethical boundaries, research funding and its priorities, the role of the researcher and issues
 To contribute to the design and creation of communications and public relations tools
 To co-design and development of formats for data assembly, analysis, and presentation
 To co-development and maintain of descriptive public and project documents concerning the various research components
 To co-development and implementation of knowledge transfer strategies and timelines
 To manage and plan adequate medical supplies and inventories for research studies
 Other assigned of supervisor

 Bachelor degree of Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Development or related fields
 Minimum 2-3 years of experience conducting community outreach and coordination
 Minimum 1-2 years of research experience
 Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and relevant computer software skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills
 Knowledge of transgender community’ s needs and the ability to interview other to get needed information are essential qualities.
 Knowledge on Research Ethics and Good Clinical Practice
 Good written and oral communications skills in Thai
 Good understanding and sensitivity to gender diversity, people living with HIV and other vulnerable populations as well as understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV and AIDS
 Good knowledge of HIV, AIDS and STI Prevention
 Perform general administrative as assigned
